Publishing Lenses for the Lens Creator Rewards Program
To begin submitting Lenses for the Lens Creator Rewards Program, you can follow the submission flow outlined in the Submitting your Lens section:
After you click Submit Lens, you will be brought to the Lens Detail page view. If you are part of an eligible Country/Region, you will automatically see a new opt-in toggle for the Lens Creator Rewards Program. If you are not, you will not see the toggle:
Clicking on Snap Lens Creator Rewards Program Terms will trigger a new Terms & Conditions pop up:
Clicking Accept on the new pop-up will automatically switch the opt-in toggle to Yes (note: it will have changed to a green color) on the Lens Details page:
Remember to fill out the rest of the information on the Lens Details page before submitting your Lens.
In order for your lens to be considered for the Lens Creator Rewards Program, the visibility status within the Lens Details page must be set to Public. Lenses marked as Hidden or Offline will be excluded from the program.
After a Lens is submitted, it will go through the standard moderation process to ensure that each of your Lenses follows our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Only after your Lens has gone through moderation, is live on Snapchat and is clearly marked as eligible in My Lenses will it be officially enrolled within the program:
Eligibility for the program is subject to moderation approval. If your Lens is marked as ineligible, this means that some of its components violate our Submission Guidelines and/or our Terms & Conditions. If this occurs, double check your work against the Community Guidelines, make changes, and re-submit it:
When updates to the Program Terms have been made, you will see the Lens Creator Rewards toggle automatically switched off, and you will have to accept the updated Terms & Conditions and opt-in again in order for your new Lens submissions to be included within the program.
Once Lenses are enrolled in the program, you will not be able to un-enroll them but you can still delete them from Snapchat.
Measuring Lens Performance for the Lens Creator Rewards Program
Within the Lens Details page, you will be able to track the performance of your Lens under the Lens Creator Rewards Insights section:
Note: you will not see this new Insights section while your Lens is in the Pending state or is marked as Ineligible for the program.
Here, you will be able to track (a) how much time your lens has left within the 90-day eligibility period and (b) how many Qualified Posters you are away from a reward.
- From the time you submit a Lens, you will have 90 days to satisfy the minimum performance requirements needed for a payout.
- In order to be eligible for a reward, a newly submitted Lens must accumulate at least 15,000 Qualified Posters and meet all eligibility criteria in order to qualify for a reward.
- A Qualified Poster is a unique user within a Qualified Region who has posted a Snap with your Lens to Spotlight, Private Stories, and/or Public Stories.
Once a Lens is outside of the 90 day eligibility period (and you have not met the minimum performance requirements), you will no longer be able to receive rewards for that specific Lens, and you will see the following view within the Insights section:
We encourage you to use learnings from your past Lenses to create and submit new ones!
