Unlocking Lenses

Introduction

If you see a Snapcode with a circle in the center, that means it can unlock a Lens. You can even share these Lenses with friends so they can use them, too!

Unlocking Lenses

Scan & Unlock a Lens

If you see a Snapcode with a circle in the center, scan it! It might have a special Lens inside you can use for a limited time.

To scan a Snapcode, point Snapchat's camera at the code. Snapchat will automatically look for Snapcodes and show you a notification when it finds one.

You should not have any Lens activated in order for Snapchat to look for Snapcodes.

Lenses can also be shared via URL.

To unlock a Lens from a Lens Link...

  1. Click the link!
  2. If you're on your mobile device, Snapchat will automatically open.
  3. If you're on a non-mobile device, you'll be taken to a webpage displaying the Snapcode.

Some Lenses are viewable on the web as well!
